Speakeasy Bootleg Band At The Caledonia at The Caledonia
It's Thursday 7th Dec and there's only 17 shopping days until Christmas. It's also the 117th anniversay of the discovery of Black Body Radiation by physicist Max Planck, the 57th anniversary of the first screening of Coronation Street, and in 1948 the lowest temperature ever of -87 degrees was recorded in the Yukon. But Speakeasy Bootleg Band promises to make sure it's a bit warmer than that when the SBB Bootleg Booze Train comes tearing back into the Caledonia in Catherine Street Liverpool L7 7DX, that legendary musical venue which is now offering a briliant selection of vegan food and beers, not to mention our own "Speakeasy Bootleg IPA", brewed by Stamps Brewery - so why not come early, have your tea, drink your way along the bar and round things off with a liberal helping of the Finest Quality Bootleg Music Since Records Began. There's loads of floor space too, so turn up in droves, dance away your blues and help us ram the place to the doors ....... It's a tall ceiling so you can stand on each other's shoulders, jump up and down, sing, shout, drink beer and Fill Yer Boots. We kick off about 9PM and play until the last man standing falls over....... but not until we've had the AMAZING JAZZ PILE-ON at the end. All horn players welcome.
