About

A US-based musician of international standing, saxophonist Greg Abate is considered to be amongst the finest jazz players of his generation. After completing his studies at Berklee in the mid 70's, Greg went on tour with the Ray Charles band for two years before returning to Rhode Island, where he ran his own bands for some years before going on the road again in the late 80's with the revived Artie Shaw Orchestra. Accompanying Greg tonight will be one of the UK's finest hard bop pianists, Craig Milverton with his trio of Sandy Suchodolski on bass and Matt Home on drums. Promises to be a great night for all lovers of straight ahead jazz sax. ...
