Djangonaughts with Guests at Wildman Jazz

All tickets £10. In celebration of the Tour de France route through Ilkley, we have Djangonauts, a hard swinging acoustic jazz quartet playing in the Gypsy Jazz style.
As well as playing jazz venues throughout the UK the Djangonauts played at Glastonbury 2010 and headlined the opening night of the International Guitar Festival of Great Britain in Django Reinhardt’s centenary year.

Their repertoire features many original arrangements of tunes by Django Reinhardt (Nuages, Swing 42, Douce Ambience) and jazz standards from the era (Honeysuckle Rose, Exactly Like You, Limehouse Blues) alongside Bebop and contemporary jazz pieces from composers including Charlie Parker, Chick Corea (La Fiesta), Gonzalo Bergara , and the Modern Jazz Quartet (Afternoon in Paris).


Jazz singer Beverley Beirne will also be guesting and you can expect one or two Piaf tunes too!
